Law Paper-II is designed to test the practical knowledge of the candidates in criminal law and procedure e.g. framing charges and writing out judgments etc. in Criminal Cases.

Law Paper-I and Law Paper-II shall be answered either in English or in Hindi but no candidate shall be permitted to answer any of these papers partly in Hindi and partly in English.

After the marks obtained by the candidates in the written test have been received, the Commission shall call for interview such of them as have obtained a minimum of 35 percent marks in each of the Law Papers and 40 percent marks in the aggregate. The interview shall carry 35 marks.

The online registration site would be open from December 11 to December 31, 2007. All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail only. All information regarding examination schedule/admit card/interview call letters etc. shall be provided through email. Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of admit card shall be of the candidate. SAIL will not be responsible for any loss of email sent, due to invalid/wrong email ID provided by the candidate.
After applying online, candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details with space for passport size photograph & signature. In order to ‘save’ the data entered, applicants should click on the ‘save’ button and then print the Registration Slip. Candidates with experience / proficiency in Financial / Corporate / Commercial Law will be given preference.

Selection Procedure : Selection will be done through Open competition (i.e. written test and interview). The written test will be held on or around 27th January 2008.
